Assalammualaikum,
Your Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedow, President of Turkmenistan, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, ladies and gentlemen.
- The pleasure is on our part to host the President, an important great country, central Asia, been a friend of Malaysia, a close friend and we both extend our commitment to ensure that the level of cooperation is extended to joint commission between the two countries and the foreign ministers will follow through early next year for this joint collaboration.
- Since the last visit was in 2016 by His Excellency Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, then President and now national leader, we have seen a strengthening of this collaboration and also we have seen their willingness and support to our industries, particularly PETRONAS Carigali. And I must, on behalf of Malaysian government and people, extend my appreciation and thanks and assure the President that this collaboration will be extremely meaningful to ensure the mutual benefit and success for both countries.
- I am particularly impressed by the President’s interest not only to enhance trade and investments between the countries, but his very comprehensive view of what development entails, including the cultural sphere, and his promotion for international peace that we fully support.
- And in order to reciprocate and to show our admiration for the great country and the leadership for the president and the people. We also would like to extend our understanding and appreciation to the agreed literary poet now celebrating the 300 years anniversary, Magtymguly Pyragy
- Magtymguly Pyragy is a known and great poet known only Turkmenistan. And I think if it is expended to see the commitment to justice, to peace, to character against greed and abuse. And I’m pleased to say that Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka has agreed and are working on the translation of a few the great works of the great poet into Bahasa so that it will be popularly known here to give meaning to that sort of collaboration comprehensive to Muslim countries to commited to development and peace.
